PRESENTATION - The Impact of Neurodivergence on Women's Mental Health with Justine Lee

Justine co-founded the Autistic Psychedelic Community with Aaron Orsini in 2020. As the current Director of the APC, Justine focuses her efforts on creating safe, inclusive spaces for neurodivergent adults to support each other as well as developing education around neurodivergence and harm reduction.

Aside from teaching her unique course covering this intersection (Psychedelic Care for Neurodivergent Clients), she collaborated with Plant Parenthood on a 6-week online program -- Different, Not Broken: A Psychedelic Path to Parenting Neurodiverse Kids. Justine's work is not only informed by her experience serving her community, she also has lived experience as a late-diagnosed autistic. She earned her BS in Neurobiology and MS in Pharmacology from UC Irvine, where she conducted research (under the direction of Dr. Amal Alachkar and Dr. Olivier Civelli) in the field of Molecular and Behavioral Neuropharmacology. She has since dedicated herself to advancing the collective understanding of neurodivergence and developing mental health resources to support the neurodiverse community. https://www.autisticpsychedelic.com/
